Great Dancing comes from Great Music!

John Woodruff

Who is John Woodruff you might ask?

I know from my limited exposure to him that he's had Ballet and Jazz training, that he hangs out with The Cream of the Swing world, and he can spin like few can!

For those of you who've been on my email list for awhile, you've gotten several emails about Jason's www.suburbanswing.com Sunday night Swing dances.

These are swing dances featuring Lindy Hop, Balboa, Jive, East Coast Swing (Triple Rhythm Jive), Charleston, etc..

You'll know I promoted Jason's weekend Workshop in March that Bertha & I attended.  Jason's dances attract 100-200 people every Sunday, 2/3rds of whom are aged 16-25!

And you may of heard the name John Woodruff.  John is by far the most energetic (retired!) person I've ever seen, and I've mentioned in the past that he really puts those young girls at Jason's dances through their paces!

John also taught a "Spins & Turns" workshop that I attended, and I've heard since then that he can do 6 spins!

OK, this is name dropping, but he knows Benji Schwimmer (So you think you can Dance fame), and his father "King of Swing" Buddy Schwimmer.

(Benji also appears in Christina Aguilera's music video "Candyman" that I recommended a couple of weeks back as a great Single Rhythm Jive!)
