Robyn
was born into and raised by a dancing family, with her parents being
Ballroom, Latin & Swing Dance Instructors as well her older siblings.
She started taking Jazz, Tap, Acro,
Ballet, & Modern Stage at the age of 4 and then went on to learn the
various styles of partner dancing that would groom her to follow in her
family’s footsteps.
She has taught thousands of people, kids & adults, since January 1990 around the
Lower Mainland, teaching classes through the Maple Ridge Arts Council,
teaching in the public and private schools, doing choreography for
wedding “first dances”, and other various special events.
Her goal is to continue to facilitate the growing interest in partner
dancing for young and old alike, and to introduce dance into more and
more peoples lives as a great form of fitness & fun, a wonderful way to
enjoy each other, and to socialize with the great groups of people in
the continually growing dance communities throughout the lower mainland.

Cha/Samba Level 3
This
advanced class is for those of you who have a good handle on more
intermediate level variations or consider yourself very fast
learners. 5 weeks will be spent on Cha Cha & 4 weeks on
Samba. Last class will be spent reviewing
Waltz/Foxtrot Level 3
This
advanced class is for those of you who have a good handle on more
intermediate level variations or consider yourself very fast
learners. 5 weeks will be spent on Waltz and 4 weeks on
Foxtrot. Last class will be spent reviewing
NEW
TEEN - Latin/Ballroom/Swing/Country
In this
course I will be introducing teens to the world of partner dancing.
We will cover the basics in 1 style for each genre. The styles
we will cover are Cha Cha, Waltz, West Coast Swing, & Country
2-step.
We need boys
to come out for this too!!!! Partner dancing is where
it's at if you like to give yourself an edge.
International Waltz Level 1-2
This course
is 10 full weeks of International style Waltz. It would
be best to have previous experience in Waltz and a basic
understanding of a Diagonal Basic, but if you consider yourself a
fairly fast learner you should be okay as we will be reviewing it
anyway. Rise and fall, foot placement and closed position body
techniques will be covered.

These dances are intended as practice dances for all
levels of dancers with guidance and answers to questions to anyone who
wishes it. Friends & relatives are welcome also. To keep
it fair to all Robyn will be available to review material already learned
only, but feel free to watch other dancers, you might be able to pick up
new steps that way also! Or be inspired to take more lessons
to learn them!
Group or Private lessons are available from either me
